AT&T has quietly released a new ruggedized and tough push-to-talk mobile handset from Samsung - the A657. This candy bar phone was tested to withstand the harshest conditions and is preloaded with AT&T Navigator and can be installed with downloadable applications such as Telenav Track and Xora Mobile Workforce Management tools. The Samsung A657 can be mounted on your car’s dashboard and also serve as as light source, thanks to its built-in flashlight.

Samsung is joining the race to release the killer mobile phone that supports dual-sim operation as it announced the new B5702 dual-standby mobile phone. The Samsung B5702 support quad-band connectivity, hence earning it the title of being the world’s first mobile phone to support global coverage with the said connectivity.

Out of the blue and without much ado, Sony Ericsson has announced a new camera phone - the S312. Being marketed as offering a quick way of capturing life’s precious moments either in still pictures or videos, the Sony Ericsson S312 boasts of a 2 megapixel camera which according to Sony Ericsson can be used horizontally and has an illuminated imaging shortcuts. You can also use the phone’s integrated photo fix to edit the photos you’ve taken.

Nokia has just brought a new E-series phone into the table with the release of the Nokia E75. According to Nokia this is their first mobile phone to come with a new email user interface that provides full desktop email functionality and integrates Nokia’s email and messaging services.The Nokia E75 just like other Eseries phones was made from quality materials. It boasts of a slide out QWERTY keyboard and three-step email setup that supports webmail platforms such as Yahoo Mail, Gmail, and Windows Live Hotmail. This is in addition to the E75’s support for Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler.

Sprint and Kyocera Sanyo have joined forces in making the Sanyo SCP-2700 stylish phone to all Sprint customers. Available starting at $49.99, the canby-bar style Sanyo SCP-2700 boasts of a full QWERTY keyboard with threaded messaging (similar to the iPhone), a 1.3 megapixel camera, some useful Sprint data services. The Sanyo SCP-2700 will be available starting May 11 at all Sprint retail stores.

Motorola has just announced what it calls as a socially-inclined mobile phone called Motorola Evoke QA4. This slider phone boasts of a 2.80-inch full touch-screen which keeps you connected all the time through different messaging styles that you can perform either through a full touch-screen QWERTY keyboard or through a slide-out traditional keypad. It also lets you personalize its home screen with widgets and RSS feeds. You can reveal the full-touch QWERTY keyboard by turning the phone on its side using its accelerometer.
