The Samsung LG Dare Arrives in Verizon

Verizon Wireless has just added a new mobile phone in its line-up useful and powerful mobile handsets. We’re talking about the LG Dare VX9700, a non-smartphone that features touchscreen LCD display. The LG Dare follows the LG Voyager and Samsung Glyde in Verizon’s stable of touchscreen mobile handsets which are being touted to compete with the Samsung Instinct and iPhone 3G which are being carried by rival mobile companies, Sprint (for the Instinct) and AT&T (for the iPhone 3G). The Samsung Dare boasts of a 3-inch diagonal WQVGA touch-sensitive display with light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment, a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and face detection, VGA video recording, built-in photo and video editing features, web browser, a 3.5 mm headset jack, media player with equalizer, handwriting recognition, drag and drop features, contacts photo interface, Bluetooth 2.1, accelerometer, EVDO Rev A, microUSB, 8GB microSDHC memory cards. Verizon is offering the LG Dare for $199 after rebate with a tw-year contract, $249 after $50 rebate with one-year contract and $409 if you don’t want to get tied up under a Verizon contract.
