Number portability for all starts today, May 24, 2004. Hang on, didn't this happen back in November? While most people were under the impression that this did occur back in November, it didn't. The FCC only allowed number portability in the top 100 areas in America. Back in November the transferring of cell phone numbers gave many people headaches. The same will probably happen today and for the immediate future. No need to wait, get out there and get a different service provider if you are not happy with your current service.
